To help you, here are some of the questions we get asked regarding same day skip hire and waste removal. Please do contact our team if there is anything else you'd like to know about our skip hire or waste disposal services.
A. You can fill the skip up past the level load, as long as the waste is kept in towards the middle of the skip and is safe for the driver to net. Do not leave any waste sticking out the sides of the skip though as this can be dangerous on the road and will therefore not be allowed.
A. Skips comes in various sizes and go by 'yard' measurements. Our skips come in three different sizes: 2 yard mini skips, which are our small skips, the next size up is our medium sized skips called a 3 yard mini skips and our largest skips are the 5 yard midi skips more suitable for larger volume waste projects. Click skip hire sizes for more information.
A. If you need a skip to be moved after the driver has delivered the skip, please make sure that it is moved into a position that the skip collection lorry can still get access to get on the skip to pick it up. Skip lorries need a minimum of 8’ width for access.
A. As a guide, skip hire period is 7 days. But we are not strict on this and will not pick up skip until you call us and arrange collection, which is within 2 days. You can also arrange collection of the skip when you order it.
A. Our skip lorries need a minimum of 8’ width for access.
A. This will need to be assessed by the driver as it is a combination of the height of the wall/fence and needing to be square on with the rear of the vehicle.
A. The skip sizes are 2, 3 and 5 yard. For more on skip sizes, see: Which skip size do I need?
