We pride ourselves in being a professional skip hire and responsible waste removal service for Hampshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire areas. Licensed with the Environment Agency, you can be assured of a professional service at all times.
To help you, here are some of the questions we get asked regarding same day skip hire and waste removal. Please do contact our team if there is anything else you'd like to know about our skip hire or waste disposal services.
A. You can fill the skip up past the level load, as long as the waste is kept in towards the middle of the skip and is safe for the driver to net. Do not leave any waste sticking out the sides of the skip though as this can be dangerous on the road and will therefore not be allowed.
A. Skips comes in various sizes and go by 'yard' measurements. Our skips come in three different sizes: 2 yard mini skips, which are our small skips, the next size up is our medium sized skips called 3 yard mini skips and our largest skips are the 5 yard midi skips more suitable for larger volume waste projects. The 5 yard midi skips are for lightweight goods only, (NO SOIL, RUBBLE OR CONCRETE). Click skip hire sizes for more information.
A. As a guide, the skip hire period is 7 days. But we are not strict on this and will not pick the skip up until you call us and arrange collection, which is within 2 days. You can also arrange collection of the skip when you order it.
A. Our skip lorries need a minimum of 8ft width for access.
A. This will need to be assessed by the driver as it is a combination of the height of the wall/fence and needing to be square on with the rear of the vehicle.
A. The skip sizes are 2, 3 and 5 yard. For more on skip sizes, see: Which skip size do I need?
A. We only need 1 days notice to deliver skips. Although we can deliver skips on the same day depending on the time of day and how busy we are. We’d recommend you call Andover Mini Skip Hire on 01264 335511 as soon as you know you need to hire a skip.
A. Absolutely not, under no circumstances can you have a fire in the skip.
A. No, the cost of skip hire does not vary. The cost is the same regardless of the service required.
A. The tipping of the skip is included in the skip hire price. The only additional cost would be if a skip permit is required.
A. Skip permits are required if you want to put a skip on a public road or lane.
A. Skips are fine to leave on the roadside (or in a lane) if you apply for a roadside permit from us. These can be arranged with our office and we have £10 Million public liability. Andover Mini Skips is licensed by the Environment Agency, registered number: CB/XE 5397NS
Please note that we can only arrange permits for 3 yard mini skips and 5 yard midi skips.
A. We will give you a 2 hour window for the driver to arrive, he will then wait 30 – 45mins with you and help you to load the skip before taking it away. Waste collection includes all domestic and commercial waste, with the exception of certain items. For more info, please see ‘What not to put in our skips’.
A. We offer 1st drop, AM or PM and a 2 hour window for a Wait & Load. (NO TIMED DELIVERIES).
